Claim assistance and advocacy support

We provide guidance through the ACC claims management process, ensuring that all appropriate steps are followed correctly as determined by ACC legislation.

If you’re not satisfied with any decision made by ACC about your claim or entitlements, ACC Help Services will step in as your advocate, working to resolve issues and represent your interests for a fair outcome. This might involve having the decision reviewed by an independent authority at a hearing to challenge its medico-legal basis. ACC Help Services will guide you through the process to help you secure the result you are entitled to.

Cost

The review process costs are covered by the ACC Act. There may be costs associated with any required medico-legal investigations that aren't covered, but these will be discussed with you at our initial consultation. We also charge a 5% success fee on any backdated funds paid by ACC as a result of any successful intervention by ACC Help Services, but this will also be discussed at the initial consultation.
